Spring 2021

As we continue to confront our ongoing public health crisis and ongoing political upheaval, Musical Ecologies will return to the airwaves in collaboration with broadcast partner Wave Farm. Our monthly live broadcasts from the Old Stone House will resume Thursday February 18th with composer and filmmaker Phill Niblock. The spring series will continue March 18th with singer, songwriter and scholar Gelsey Bell, and will conclude April 15th with sound artist and musician Bob Bellerue.

As a prelude to our spring events, series curator Dan Joseph will host a separate series of five Saturday night programs titled “Musical Ecologies Remix” beginning this Saturday January 16th. The three-hour programs from 9pm to midnight EST will feature highlights from past Musical Ecologies events, new and recent releases by series artists and affiliates, plus a generous dose of freeform, experimental remixology…
